Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea – 10 March 2026 – Kumul Minerals Holdings Limited (KMHL) has been recognised as one of the winners of the International Women’s Day 2026 Organisation Awards, presented by Pacific International Hospital (PIH), in recognition of the company’s commitment to advancing women in the workplace and supporting women in the wider community.
The award celebrates organisations that champion women’s participation, leadership, professional development, and wellbeing while also contributing positively to women-focused initiatives across Papua New Guinea (PNG).
KMHL was recognised for its efforts across several key areas including women’s representation in the workforce, strong employee retention, structured workplace support initiatives, professional development opportunities, and employee welfare programs. The company’s community initiatives supporting women in PNG were also acknowledged as part of the award selection process.
Speaking on the recognition, KMHL General Manager Corporate Services Cathy Magalu said the award reflects the growing contribution of women within the organisation and the company’s commitment to creating opportunities for women employees.
“This recognition is a proud moment for Kumul Minerals and, most importantly, for the many talented women who contribute to our organisation every day. Their professionalism, dedication and leadership continue to strengthen KMHL and the work we do for PNG,” Ms Magalu said.

The awards were presented as part of the International Women’s Day celebrations on Friday 6 March, during a special event hosted by PIH in Port Moresby, bringing together leaders and professionals to discuss the theme of balancing work, home, and health for PNG’s working women.
